District 7 Commander Recognizes World War II Veterans

District 7 Commander Amy Donaldson, other District officers and members of VFW Posts 5293 South Joplin, Post 534 Joplin and Post 2590 Carthage were honored to recognize 5 distinguished World War II Veterans during the Four States Armed Forces Music Festival in Neosho MO on Saturday August 26, 2017. These dedicated warriors were recognized for their contributions to our great country. MO State Representative Charlie Davis spoke to the crown about their contributions and narrated the ceremony. District 7 Commander Amy Donaldson presented each Veteran with a Certificate of Recognition, an Eagle lapel pin and a specially engraved insulated mug. These members of the Greatest Generation were transported to the ceremony from the Missouri Veterans Home in Mt Vernon by the dedicated staff.
