South Platte Memorial Post 7356, Veterans of Foreign Wars in Parkville, MO announced today that they will be awarded two very distinctive awards from VFW Headquarters located here in Kansas City. These awards will be presented to Post members during the VFW National Convention being held this month in Kansas City.
First, of the 6,400 Post World-Wide VFW Post 7356 is one out of 63 Post that will be recognized as a “National Outstanding Community Service Post.” Their support to the Community, Youth Programs, and Veterans needs places them in this distinguished category.
Second, Commander Jeff Fox will be recognized as an “All American Commander” for the 2017-2018 Program Year. Post 7356 is one of 197 Post Commanders world-wide that will receive this honor. An “All American Commander” must lead his Post with increasing membership as well as in completion of all the VFW programs like the youth scholarships of “Voice of Democracy” and “Patriots Pen”. As well as “Teacher of the Year” and “Scout of the Year”.
