At the recent District Convention, one of the District Commanders gave what I think is a very good suggestion to make Post inspections go smoothly.  It involves organizing the information asked for in one accordion-type binder for easy access by the Inspector.  It will take a little bit of time to organize, but in the long run, it will be worth it.

Inspectors are required to see the documents that back up your responses during an inspection.  What do you need in your folder?  It is available under TOOLS above.  Look for Downloadable District Forms.  The list provided tells you what is needed.  If we all follow this organized approach, we should have no problems.  Post Inspection Checklist

There can be legal consequences if inspections are not done in accordance with VFW guidelines.  Let me know what you think.  I would like for each Post to adopt this method of record keeping as soon as possible.  Soon District 6 Post inspections will begin.  Let’s get ahead of the curve with this suggestion.

Thank you for agreeing to serve your Post as a leader for this year.  I know we will have a good and productive year!
