It is that time again. We are off to our first district meeting for the new post year. The meeting is open to all members of all posts. Load your cars and vans! This meeting is for you!
We are heading to the Durham Post 2740 on Saturday, August 13th. The meeting starts at 11:00 a.m. for the joint session and then we will break for lunch at noon. We reconvene at 1 p.m. for our district meeting.
Mark Bergman will be there to assist us with membership.
This is a very important meeting as posts will learn more about new and existing programs, processes and procedures. You will receive information on the Voice of Democracy, Patriot’s Pen, and Teacher of the Year programs. All State Team eligibility standards have been modified this year. Do you know the changes?
Post website training for district posts is also available. Stop by the post early and work with the state blogmaster/storyteller. Learn how to access your site, create news, and update your post’s website. There is no cost to the post for use of the new state myvfw.org site. Training will start at about 9:30 a.m. Bring your laptop. Durham has wireless and you can go on-line and edit as you learn.
Directions to the Durham Post. Okay, you must have missed the large map at the beginning of this post. Please scroll to the top and plan your trip. Be sure to bring others from the post. The more, the merrier!
