It is an honor to have been elected the Commander for the second year. I will do everything I can to see that Post 8866 accomplishes our Mission: to foster camaraderie among United States veterans of overseas conflicts; to serve our veterans, the military, and our communities; to advocate on behalf of all veterans. To this end I am totally committed and ask for your help and support.

CDR. Jim Rich

There are three Directions of Focus which I ask you to join with me to accomplish this year.

  1. Expanded Communication; to include the beginning of new web site at Your input is welcomed. Please offer articles, pictures and news events for consideration.
  2. Enhanced Post Image through positive community involvement to include Schools Patriot Pen, Voice of Democracy, Patriot Art, Teacher Recognition and involvement in other community events.
  3. Improving the Post appearance and enhancing the Memorial Site by “Stepping Forward”.

You will hear more about each of these in the coming months and specifics about how we might move forward to accomplish each.
