Last week, more than 500 VFW members convened in the nation’s capital for the 2016 VFW Legislative Conference. Armed with the VFW’s 2016 Priority Goals, VFW advocates urged their elected members of Congress to transform the VA so that it can more efficiently and effectively serve you, America’s veterans.
VFW National Commander John A. Biedrzycki, Jr. testified before a special joint hearing of the House and Senate Veterans’ Affairs Committees, focusing on recommendations for transforming the VA, while also touching on important issues ranging from access to health care, women veterans’ issues and the disability claims appeals process, to toxic exposure and the potential damage of privatizing VA.
