My name is Mike Sepal, and I work with a veteran nonprofit organization called Warrior Hike (www.warriorhike.org). Warrior Hike is an outdoor therapy program that supports combat veterans transitioning from their military service by thru-hiking America’s National Scenic Trails. This spring and summer we have two veterans that will be hiking all 1,200 miles of the Ice Age Trail in Wisconsin from May 3 to August 1, 2015. Listed below are the 14 VFW Posts in Wisconsin where the two Warrior Hikers will be stopping to receive support during their hike on the Ice Age Trail. By hosting our veterans in their communities they are providing them with a much needed rest from their journey in addition to helping them reintegrate into society by establishing meaningful relationships between them and the community’s veterans and citizens.
