Ladies Newsletter August, 2012

                                Dear Sisters, Happy August, I hope everyone is well enjoying a great summer. Welcome to Karen Janezic and Joan Winkleski transfers from Auxiliary 7485. NEW BUSINESS: King Day is August 18th our Auxiliary sent a donation of $50.00 for this annual event. The Ladies Auxiliary has new web site, wiladiesvfwaux.org. Check it out. 4th District organizational meeting was held August 4th. Elaine Kriesel, Kristie Milne and I attended. Our Auxiliary was presented with the 2010-2011 membership award along with a $50.00 cash award. A total of 7 awards were earned in addition to the Membership award, other certificates awarded were Americanism, Youth Activities, Cancer Aid and Research, a certificate of Appreciation and Continuous Support of our VFW, National & Military Services and President’s Birthday. We have two more opportunities to assist the Post with our last fund raising event of the year at Miller Park. Greendale VFW Post #10519                                                       AUGUST-2012 NEWSLETTER Greetings Members and Friends of Greendale VFW Post 10519, SINCE OUR LAST NEWSLETTER:   At the July meeting we welcomed one new members and a transfer to the Post. They are Kim Stallion (transfer) Kim is a Desert Storm Veteran and new member Robert Kaun an Iraq War veteran and Grandson of long time member Andy Garraghan.  Welcome to both of you. On June 30th my wife and I and many of our Korean war members attended a dinner and awards program at the Post. The VFW, American Legion 416 and Viet-Nam Veterans of Wisconsin co-sponsored the event. Legion Commander and VFW member Tim Baranczyk emceed the event. Presenting awards was a representative from the Korean government.
