  SEPTEMBER 9, 2013   Dear Sisters, September has arrived way too quickly, hope you had a safe and healthy summer. Not much to report with this mailing. To our Sisters that have not renewed their membership, please do so now, before the $3.00 increase takes place in October. At our September 23rd meeting, we will join the post for a brief presentation in regards to a Retired and Senior Volunteer Program. This program connects volunteers to agencies serving the needs of  Veterans  and their families. Newsletter Post 10519 September, 2013

                                                    SEPTEMBER 2013 NEWSLETTER Greetings Members and Friends of Greendale VFW Post 10519, September marks the end of summer and the beginning of fall.  I hope your summer was enjoyable, as we all know summers in Wisconsin are short. We had our last  Poppy/Bracelet fund raising opportunity at Miller park on Wednesday, September 4th. Eleven people participated (8 members, 1 Auxiliary and 2 non members). Our scheduled fund raising activities are complete. I will be giving a final report at September’s meeting. I would sum up the year as not great but respectably successful.  Successful due to the those who gave their time and energy, THANK YOU to all who participated. As I mentioned in the August Newsletter the Post monthly meeting attendance has been down, this has been especially true during the summer months.
