VFW 2014 RAFFLE CALENDAR The Department of Wisconsin will be conducting the calendar raffle starting in October in order to raise some needed funds for the Department and its Service Office. Calendars will be available at the October and November post and Auxiliary meetings. Or you can call John or Nancy Ustruck at 414-327-2754 or Quartermaster Ken Kieck at 414-421-8621 to make arrangement to pick up calendars. They’re priced at just $20.00, and make great gifts, stocking stuffers or just a way to say thank you to someone. All while supporting the Department’s Service Office and our veterans. Prize distribution is $33,450.00. 365 prizes will be given, 7 drawings per week. Two -$2,500.00 prizes Eight -$1,000.00 Six- $500.00 prizes Three hundred forty nine -$50.00 prizes SERVICE MEDALS of the many U. S. Wars and conflicts is the theme of the 2014 calendars.
Dear Sisters, October is upon us, how quickly it came. Hope this newsletter finds all well and enjoying the Fall weather. Anyone “under” the weather, please keep us updated. Commander Greendale VFW Post #10519 OCTOBER 2013 NEWSLETTER Greetings Members and Friends of Greendale VFW Post 10519, At our September meeting we had guest speaker, Marie Honel (Representative of Volunteer Program Coordinator for Veterans), she addressed both the Post members and Auxiliary members. Marie talked about opportunities in making a positive difference in the life of a veteran through the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP), Volunteers for Veterans Program. This program connects volunteers who are 55 and over to opportunities with local agencies serving veterans and their families. Volunteer opportunities are varied and flexible, based on your interests and schedule, and include delivering a box of groceries, driving, serving meals and more.
