OCTOBER-2014 NEWSLETTER Greetings Post Members, and Friends of Greendale VFW Post 10519, I hope you are all enjoying our fall colors and cooler temperatures. I would like to start this newsletter by welcoming a new member to the Post. His name is George Baker Sr. He is a life member and is transferring from California. Welcome to the Post George. The 2014 Veterans Day Parade kick off open house was held on September 23rd at the Marian Center on the lake front. There also was a check presentation ceremony. A company by the name of TransCanada presented the Honor our Military a check for $20,000.00. That will insure a parade for this year and possibly next year as well. Thanks TransCanada for honoring the veterans of southeast Wisconsin with your generous donation. On September 25th the Post color Guard was on hand to present the colors for the grand opening at the new Chick-fil-A restaurant in Greendale (in front of Wal-Mart). Ladies Newsletter October, 2014

Dear Sisters, Fall Greetings to all ! Hoping this October newsletter finds all Auxiliary Sisters doing well and in good health. Enjoy the Fall weather and beautiful Fall colors. As not to be repetitive, please be sure to read the post newsletter, as most, or all, applies to auxiliary members as well. It’s great that our post and auxiliary work well together. Not many posts and auxiliaries can report the good news of WORKING TOGETHER. Thank you to all post and auxiliary members for making that possible. Open House Meeting will be held on Monday, October 27th. Bring a guest that may be eligible to join us. This is our scheduled October meeting, prospective members can see what our auxiliary is about, and what we do for our Veterans. Stay for light refreshments and socializing. Once again, you can subscribe, or renew to the Wisconsin VFW news for half-price.($3 instead of $6).This can be done through the auxiliary only. Cut off will be December 1st.
