Ladies Newsletter February, 2015

Dear Sisters, Thank You to all in attendance at our January meeting. Largest number in years! A special welcome to Beverly Almquist, now a member of Auxiliary 10519. WELCOME! It is with a heavy heart I need to report auxiliary 1912, West Allis, has disbanded. The good news is, they have chosen our Auxiliary to continue their membership. We will be adding 14 life members and 18 annual. Next month we will welcome them in our newsletter. COOKBOOKS ARE HERE! The department fundraiser, (one of many) are only $15.00. Every auxiliary is expected to participate in the sale. If you would like to purchase one, please call me at 414-327-2754, or they will be at our meeting, February 23rd. Our auxiliary has money to spend on our Veterans and Veterans Programs. Join us at our February meeting with suggestions which programs are dear to your heart, so we can discuss where and how much to donate. Newsletter Post 10519 February, 2015

FEBRUARY 2015 NEWSLETTER Greetings Members and Friends of Greendale VFW Post 10519, This is our first Newsletter of the year. We do not send one out in January since there is very little VFW news during the holiday season. And we save on the expense of a mailing with very little new information to offer. I would like to start out by welcoming Dan Crass as new transfer member to our Post. Dan transfers in from the Hales Corners Post. Welcome Dan. I would also like to express get well wishes on behalf of the Post to Ralph Steffens who is at the VA Hospital. We wish him well. At the November meeting we had our Patriot’s Pen and Voice of Democracy presentations and awards. Nina Goyette has won first place in the District for her Patriots Pen presentation and will represent the Post at the February 15th District meeting at Hart Park.
