Newsletter Post 10519 April, 2015

APRIL 2015 NEWSLETTER Greetings Members and Friends of Greendale VFW Post 10519, As of this writing the only two I know of on the sick or hurt list are Louie Fisher who is at the VA and Ralph Steffens who has been released from the VA and is convalescing at home. I also like welcome back snowbirds Bob Karwowski and Don Furdek and vacationing Ken Kieck. All three of these Vets are active in the Post. I have no new updates on the progress of the Greendale Veteran’s Memorial other than to encourage all eligible GREENDALE residents to vote in the upcoming School Board election. Also regarding the proposed Memorial there will be a program on Saturday April 18th at 10:00 am to return the flags to the proposed site. They were taken down in the fall and stored for the winter. The Post’s Color guard will be presenting the colors. The American Legion 416, the Legion Firing Squad, concerned citizens and anyone wishing to participate will be there. The news media has been contacted. Come and join us and … Continue reading
