Ladies Newsletter August, 2015

Dear Sisters, August is upon us with Labor Day fast approaching. Hope this newsletter finds everyone enjoying the lovely summer weather and good health. Our July meeting was quite productive with many donations to Veterans and Auxiliary projects being made. Good to have many auxiliary sisters in attendance, especially Linda Kirsching battling health issues at this time, We wish you the very best at this time and always. Thank you to all that have sent in your membership renewals, we are off to a great start. If you haven’t done so, please remit ASAP so we may qualify for a monetary award from National. As a reminder, dues are $18.00. At the August 24th meeting, raffle calendars will be available for $20.00 each. 366 chances to win. 2 drawings for $2,500.00, 8 drawings for $1,000.00, 6 drawings for $500.00 and 350 drawings for $50.00! Newsletter Post 10519 August, 2015

AUGUST 2015 NEWSLETTER Greetings Members and Friends of Greendale VFW Post 10519, Sad news to begin the August newsletter. Post member Bill Poulter passed away recently. Many of you remember Bill from his highly decorated military Jeep. He has joined us in many parades as well as driving Gold Star Mothers in the downtown Veterans Day parade every year. I would like to offer get well wishes to Bob Kennedy who is now at home recovering from surgery. And we continue to offer best wishes to Harold Kuehnel and Ralph Steffan as they continue their healing process. I would like to offer a welcome to our newest transfer member Paul A. Boucher. Paul lives in Franklin. Welcome aboard. Our Post Color Guard has been busy this summer. They led the Greendale 4th of July parade and the Village Day Parade on August 9th. All the participants did a fine job as usual. Our next parade march will be the downtown Veterans Day Parade in November.
