FEBRUARY -2016- NEWSLETTER Greetings Members and Friends of Greendale VFW Post 10519, As we approach the down side of winter I hope everyone is well and starting to think spring. The Post would like to offer get well wishes to Bob Kennedy who is still undergoing a long recuperation at home and to Mary Furdek wife of member Don Furdek who is dealing with some health issues. On a brighter note I would like to offer a hearty welcome to new member John Smigla.  John lives in Greenfield is an Air force vet and comes in as a life member.  We also wish to welcome new member Eugene Feuling a Greendale resident and Navy vet. To recap December and January: On December 19th the Post had our annual Christmas Party and dinner. It was well attended with 66 members and guests. All went well and I believe everyone had a good time. A special thanks to Marilyn Volland for all her work and expense of putting together Christmas gifts for all who attended. Auxiliary Newsletter February, 2016

Dear Sisters,   Valentine Greetings to all Auxiliary members. Hope this finds you all well, warm and enjoying our mild winter. Hope I didn’t jinx February and March.   As of this mailing our membership is at 95 members. A member that has not paid by December 31st, is no longer a member in good standing, unable to attend meetings, but can be back in good standings simply by paying their dues prior to June 30th. Please encourage members to do so. Two mailings have gone out with self-addressed stamped envelopes.   Saturday, February 13th, will be the second showing of “Lucky Strike”. Auxiliary has purchased 4 tickets. If you wish to attend, call Julie Pipke, Treasurer, 414-303-3886 for tickets. See info in this mailing.   March 6th and March 13th, both Sundays, Amanda Pattersons’ Music Students will present their annual Spring Concert for residents at Zablocki VA Medical Center.
