JULY -2016- NEWSLETTER Greetings Members and Friends of Greendale VFW Post 10519, I hope everyone is enjoying the summer months so far. The last newsletter was sent out in May. We do not normally do a June newsletter. In May we have the Installation of Officers dinner instead of a regular Post and Auxiliary meeting so there usually isn’t a lot of new things to report. But that does mean that as a Post we have not been busy. I am happy to report that there are not any members with any new health issues that I am aware of. Bob Kennedy and Richard Derse continue to rehab from their surgeries. I am also happy to report some membership changes. We welcome new member Michael Dunn, Michael served in the Army and is currently in the National Guard/Reserves.  Michael lives in Greenfield and signed up as a life member, welcome to the VFW and the Greendale Post. Auxiliary Newsletter July, 2016

Greetings Brothers and Sisters,   Pat yourselves on the back! That’s right, because of you, we received many awards at department convention in June. As your Auxiliary President, I had the honor of accepting them. So thank you, I truly love representing VFWA 10519. Awards presented were for Legislative, Hospital, Veterans and Military Support, Patriots Pen, Voice of Democracy and Veterans and Military Service. Most exciting, we were awarded 1st placed in Group 2 for the achievement award. That award is a BIG DEAL! Thank You again for all you do for our veterans and their families. I look forward to another award winning year! Keep up the outstanding work.   Our new year has begun, which means time to renew your annual membership. Please renew ASAP, being 100% by the end of August, qualifies us for a monetary award. Consider becoming a life member NOW! If passed at National Convention this month, life member fees will increase substantially. Take advantage of the lower rate before the increase.
