AUGUST -2016- NEWSLETTER Greetings Members and Friends of Greendale VFW Post 10519, This newsletter is coming to you a little later than usual. It has been a busy summer with family activities, fairs, festivals and other outdoor activities. I hope everyone is enjoying the summer.  I have no new members or transfer members to report.  I have several “sick call” members to report. Auxiliary Newsletter August, 2016

Greetings Brothers and Sisters,   Summer is flying by, children will be returning to school, and Fall will soon be arriving. Working for our Veterans and their Families does not have a schedule, it is continuous. In order for our work to continue, it is important to have the funds to aid them. Which means Poppies, Poppies, Poppies! Please mark your calendars for Monday, August 29th and Tuesday, August 30th. See Commander John’s newsletter for details. Consider helping one or both days. You will work with a Post Member not alone. It is rewarding and fun, the more help we have the more funds can be collected. This is our main means of fundraising. Come join us!   Membership renewals were sent last month, along with a stamped self addressed envelope. Please send in renewals as soon as possible. Being 100% will qualify our Auxiliary for a monetary award. We have always been 100% by the end of August. Help us to continue being 100% by August  31st and renew today! Thank you for understanding and your support. Consider  becoming … Continue reading
