SEPTEMBER -2016- NEWSLETTER Greetings Members and Friends of Greendale VFW Post 10519, Summer is winding down and it has been a warm one. Some people like it that way and some don’t. This is the time of year when VFW activities start to increase, we have a lot of things coming up. Currently I don’t know of any Post members hospitalized but there are many dealing with health issues. Ralph Steffen is back at Union Grove. Don Furdek, Roger Volland and Bob Kennedy continue their  rehabs at home. No doubt there are others dealing with health issues that I am not aware of. Best wishes to all. Membership changes have been active. I would like to welcome new member Ron Morrison to the Post. He is an Army-Viet Nam vet and at one time a member of Post 1912, he lives in Greenfield.  Ken Kiel,  a Franklin resident has joined the Post. Ken  transferred in from Post 6498. We also welcome Art Olszewski from Hales Corners. Art was a member at large and has now transferred to Greendale Post 10519. … Continue reading

Auxiliary Newsletter September, 2016

Ladies Auxiliary to Greendale VFW Post #10519 Greetings Brothers and Sisters, Fall is upon us and our Auxiliary year is in full swing. Great to see many members at our August meeting. This was an extremely important meeting. Main topic was our budget for the year. Many donations were discussed and voted upon. Emergency Disaster, Health and Happiness, Hospital, National Military Services, and Fischer House are just a few we will make a donation to.   This Saturday, September 10th is our 4th District Fall Meeting. This will take place at Oak Creek Diner, 6847 S. 13th St. Meeting begins at 2:00PM. Come early for lunch, or stay for a bite after. If you would like to attend please give a call and we can make arrangements to car pool. 414-327-2754. All 4th District Officers and Chairman should be in attendance.   Also Saturday, September 10th from 4:30-7:00, American Legion Auxiliary will be hosting a Spaghetti Dinner.  This is to benefit the Greendale Veterans Memorial.
