OCTOBER -2016- NEWSLETTER Greetings Members and Friends of Greendale VFW Post 10519, Welcome to Autumn. Summer is behind us, in the next few months we will transition into winter. Not a good thought for most of us. Sick call finds Ralph Steffen back at the VA. Roger Volland, Don Furdek and Bob Kennedy continue to rehab from their medical conditions. We offer get well wishes to all who are dealing with health concerns. We welcome new member Kenneth Stephany, Ken is a Navy Veteran who’s eligibility is by way of his Viet Nam service. We also welcome Tim Bellis, Tim is a transfer member from the VFW Fidler Post #9469. Tim is not a stranger to the Post, he is a 416 Legion member, Firing Squad member and Greendale resident. Welcome to you both. In last month newsletter I neglected to mention a couple of our members who have donated to the Post. Both wish to be anonymous but their generosity should not go unmentioned. Auxiliary Newsletter October, 2016

Greetings Brothers and Sisters,   Fall weather is upon us, and with a heavy heart I need to report the passing of Dale Anderson, son and brother of our members Shirley Anderson and Linda Kirschling. Our deepest sympathy to you both at this time. We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers.   Battling health issues at this time (that I’m aware of) are Linda Kirschling, Virginia Rocke-Orlowski, and Annette Kuligowski. Keep fighting sisters, and let us know if there is anything we can do.   On a happier note we welcome NEW MEMBERS! Jena Lynch, Jordan Leonhardt, Dean Patterson, Patrick Patterson, David Volland, Mildred Kirschbaum, and transfer life member Carla Bellis (AKA Mrs. Tim) It’s so exciting to have males joining our auxiliary. Keep up the good work recruiting! We can NEVER have too many members.   Now that we have many women veterans, our hospitals are giving gift bags to the new mothers.
