Greetings Brothers and Sisters of VFWA 10519

Thank you to all members in attendance at our April meeting. It warms my heart monthly to see our meeting room full, that’s what makes us a strong auxiliary. Together we can accomplish much for our Veterans and Families.

This newsletter may seem a bit repetitious but all important for the Merry Month of May.

Nominations and elections were held at our April meeting. Officers for the 2018-2019 auxiliary year are as follows: PRESIDENT-Nancy Ustruck, SR. VICE PRESIDENT-Amanda Patterson,
Jr.VICE PRESIDENT-Julie Wetzel, TREASURER-Julie Pipke, CHAPLAIN-Marilyn Volland, CONDUCTRESS-Karen Janezic, HISTORIAN-Marilyn Volland, GUARD-Shirley Meyer (warning! don’t mess with the guard) 3 YEAR TRUSTEE-Gina Lynch, 2 YEAR Joan Winkleski,1 YEAR TRUSTEE-Shirley Anderson, PATRIOTIC INSTRUCTOR-Jill Woznicki, appointed position is Kathi Schmeling as SECRETARY. Thank you for accepting these positions. 2018-2019 year begins immediately after Department Convention.

Installation of newly elected officers will take place on TUESDAY May 29th, beginning at 5:30, dinner 6:30 with installation to follow. $20.00, please make your reservation by May 10th. Checks can be made out  to VFW 10519 and sent to John Ustruck 3812 S. 57th St. Milwaukee, WI 53220. All members and guests are welcome.

Reminder of the 4th District Spring meeting on May 5th, 9:30 A.M. at the Brass Key Restaurant, 4952 W. Forest Home Ave. All are encouraged to attend, plan on staying  for lunch to show appreciation for the room.

It’s that time of year for Community Poppy Distribution, Friday May 11th and Saturday May 12th. Please read commander John’s newsletter for detailed information.

Well wishes go out to Jane Mlenar, Virginia Rocke-Orlowski, and Annette Kuligowski.

Look forward to seeing many of you at the installation dinner May 29th. The auxiliary business meeting will be Monday, June 25th, the fourth Monday of the month at 6:30.
