Ladies Newsletter February, 2013

Dear Sisters,

A new year is upon us, with still so many ways to serve our veterans. Also, many challenges lie ahead. So please, when help is needed, any amount of time you are willing to give would be appreciated. Remember this is your Auxiliary and we need to work together.

Mid-winter meeting will be held February 14th-16th in Manitowoc. The Commander and I will be attending. Marilyn Volland will once again put together a “THEME BASKET” for the cancer booth at the mid-winter conference. All proceeds go toward the Cancer Program. Thank You, Marilyn. A thank you also to Joan Winleski for sewing a patriotic pillow cover for the Patriotic Pillow Project. The pillow supports an injured or missing limb, or a special place to rest a weary head.

Mark your calendar, Loyalty Day is scheduled for April 27th in Elkhorn, Wi., parade begins at 10:30 am.

The REFLECITVE WRIST BAND COMMITTEE is currently working on some marketing strategies  to sell our reflective wrist bands. This fund raiser will only be successful with good membership participation. We are committed to this fund raiser monetarily ,so please be willing to participate and promote this effort.

Commander and I will be on vacation during the February meeting. Amanda Patterson will conduct the February 25th meeting. If you have additions to the agenda contact Amanda. I look forward to seeing you at the March meeting.
