Ladies Newsletter September, 2015

Dear Sisters,
Notice anything different? Look Again! NEW EMBLEM, NEW NAME ! As of August 21st we are now officially known as Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States Auxiliary to Greendale Post 10519. An abbreviated version may be FVW Auxiliary to Greendale Post 10519. This change was voted on at the 116th National Convention. You may be asking why the change? The passing demonstrates equality for ALL veterans, spouses and family. This now makes it possible for MALE spouses and MALE family members to join the auxiliary. All eligible men and women seeking membership must fill out an application, be investigated (to make sure they qualify), voted on and accepted. Same procedure as in the past. I’ve heard from Department, we have a few male members in Wisconsin. Great, no time wasted! Let’s get the word out so we also can welcome the newest members to our organization. Let’s continue to serve our veterans!

Well wishes go out to Anne and Annette Kuligowski, both battling health issues. Hope improvement for both of you arrives soon.
Stop at the post to check out the picnic table sponsored by the VFW post and Auxiliary. Eagle Scout project for Dean Busalacchi, an outstanding young man. You will find more tables scattered around the Village. Proud to be a part of Dean’s project.
If you have not renewed your membership, please consider sending it in at this time. You are important to our auxiliary.
Next meeting will be Monday, September 28th 6:30. Our District 4, Sr. Vice Thelma Alston will be joining us to inspect our auxiliary. Come join us to welcome Thelma, stay for socializing and refreshments.
Look forward to seeing you the 28th.
