Post Member Jose Leon Presented Award

Jose Leon received a special award from Post 1318 at his new home in La Crosse.  Jose has been for several years, a real sparkplug in getting things done around the post.
From:
– fixing the flag pole and acquiring the flags to fly
– mowing the lawn
– renovating the larger post meeting room in the basement
– setting up tables and place setting for steak night
– donating a large screen television
– to raising the money for projects by his own example of giving of self and his purse
Jose has been at the center of post activities, and he made his efforts a family affair.  You should have seen his boys, Enrique and Manuel, on their roller sneakers streaking across the room to lay tablecloths and set tables.  And the Leon boys were great at lawn care and general cleanup.  Unfortunately, Jose had several more important projects on the drawing board.  Mr. Leon took a management position with a Fort McCoy contractor and had to relocate.

We wish Jose Leon the very best of good fortune and hope that if he cannot return for good someday that he will visit us often.
