April 2018 e-News   APRIL 2018 WVM James Megellas Gallery at King Opens With an expansive remodel complete, the Wisconsin Veterans Museum celebrated the grand re-opening of the James Megellas Gallery on April 20. The interactive museum (take virtual tour here), which covers the rich history of military members from Wisconsin, is housed at the Wisconsin Veterans Home at King in its Marden Center. The museum includes stories and artifacts from Veterans who served in United States-involved conflicts from the Civil War until today. A ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of the museum at King brought dozens of members from the community and members at the home…. Volunteering for Veterans April is National Volunteer Month, a time for us to recognize the incredible work volunteers perform across the nation. Across the WDVA’s three Veterans homes, almost 600 volunteers combined to put in more than 43,000 hours within the last year!
